Who Needs War? Documents from the struggle against the Iraq war
Twenty years after the British and US states attacked Iraq, we bring you documents of anti war resistance from ACE’s Autonomous Archive.
Who Needs War? was published by Action Against the War c/o ACE and features an article by one of the courageous school students who went on strike against the war and defied the police in mass direct actions in Edinburgh city centre. Stop the Killing! was produced by a combined effort of different class struggle anarchist groups in Scotland.
The photos show images from 17 March 2003 when hundreds of striking school students were among anti war activists who stormed Edinburgh Castle and blockaded Princes Street. As with today’s climate strikes, striking school students were to the fore in the struggle.
